Photograph caption dated May 15, 1956 reads, "Distinguished Ticket Sellers -- Mrs. Raymond B. Allan (left), wife of UCLA chancellor, and Mrs. Oscar Lawler, whose husband is president of the Farmers and Merchants Bank, sell Cecil B. DeMille the first tickets to the gala premiere of Paramount's "The Man Who Knew Too Much." Proceeds of the affair [to be] held at the Hollywood Paramount Theater will go to finance the interfaith racial work of the University Religious Conference."
