Description: Image of the execution of Irish revolutionary Robert Emmet by hanging and beheading in a town square area of Dublin, Ireland; crowds of people are subdued by British soldiers in red uniforms as an executioner holds Emmet's head aloft at center on a raised platform; horse-drawn carriage at center near gallows; people look on from street level as well as from windows and rooftops surrounding the square.
