Description
Asano Grocery Fruit and Vegetables at 709 S. Myrtle (S. of Olive). Takumi "Tom" (1896-1965) and Sakae "Mary" (1904-1991) were both born in Okayama. Tom came to the U.S. in 1915 and worked as a gardener at first. They purchased a home at 212 Walnut in Monrovia under their son, Tosh's name - as aliens could not own land.
