View of ruins on a Colorado River bank.
Signed on mount: "Frederick Monsen." Title supplied by cataloger. Monsen's typed label on back says: "The Brown-Stanton Survey of the Canyons of the Colorado River. The picture was made in 1889. Vermillion Cliffs and Prehistoric Fort. There are many remarkable ruins in this vicinity but the country is very difficult to travel over."
