Description
Ch'ing Dynasty Chinese dancing skirt: multicolored jacquard silk with embroidered panels and borders. Pair of main panels (1 orange, 1 red) are embroidered with a large central medallion containing 2 figures and a large bird The medallion is surrounded with flowers and butterflies of various colors done in various stitches with some gold couching. Main panels are bordered with a woven band and further by multi-embroidered flowers and gold couching on a white ground. The side panels are of multicolored, thinly pleated jacquard strips with tacked edges, bordered on the bottom to match the main panels' border.
