Photograph caption dated June 28, 1963 reads, "Burt Scher accepts Mark Kaplan realty outstanding trainee trophy from Irene Finley, general manager. Scher registered a combination of 12 sales and listings in his first two and one-half months with the firm. He is a recent graduate of the Mark Kaplan training course and is specializing in the sale of properties in the West Valley. He says that the success he has enjoyed is mainly due to the company's policy of accepting only saleable listings and close cooperation between management and staff members."
