Description
Rejoicing Beaumont citizens are seen here gathered shortly after another successful water-well drilling in Edgar Canyon in 1908. They had reason to celebrate because this even guaranteed more water for their town. It flowed from the well pipe and was fed directly into a flume that brought water down the canyon either into a holding reservoir, where it was stored, or into another flume to be directed to Beaumont. Four more wells would follow, as well as reservoirs to store the water.
