Full title:Seven Nisei waiters employed at the Elms Hotel, resort center about thirty miles north of Kansas City, are standing as follows from left to right: Henry Mayeda, from the Granada Center; Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) Mayeda; Tom Ogata, from Topaz; Miss Yo Muranaga from Rohwer; Mas Takanishi from Poston; Frank Kamada from Granada; and Jimmy Sakata from Rohwer. The Mayedas are formerly of San Jose, California; Tom Ogata is a chick sexer, employed near Birmingham, Alabama, during the chick sexing season. Miss Muranaga hails from Montebello, California. Frank Kamada is formerly of Los Angeles. His wife and year-old daughter, Patricia, are also with him. Missing from the picture are several other Nisei employed as waiters.
