Description
Four men stand and another sits in a chair with his feet propped up on the hitching rail while their picture is taken, circa 1885. The man in the top hat and the large shiny buttons on his coat is possibly Raymond Le Cussan. Note the trough to the right of the seated man. There is an arched pipe on top with an attached lever faintly visible. It is likely a water pump and the arched faucet would allow people to fill their drinking cups or the water trough for the horses. Note attached to image: Ray Le Cussan Saloon and Barber Shop. West side of Front Street in the middle of block between Main and Crane Streets. Burned in 1893 along with entire block.
