Description
A parade was one of the events of the first Melon Carnival held in 1911 in Turlock, California. In this photograph horses are used to pull the "floats" down East Main Street and across the railroad tracks to West Main Street. To the left, people stop to watch, including a boy wearing knickers which was the style of this time period. Verso: Lundquist driver.
