Description
People are lined up around the contestants to watch and enjoy their attempts to be the first to roll a watermelon across the finish line. The street was not yet paved which meant there was a chance of rolling the melon across a rock and causing it to split open. Notice the boy on the left who appears to be trying to continue "rolling" what remains of his watermelon.
