Image shows half-length portrait of Captain Glassell, with beard and mustache, wearing white shirt, dark vest, jacket and bow tie. William was hired by his brother, Andrew Glassell, to manage sales of the Richland Farm Tracts, now the core of Orange, California. Both were instrumental in the formation of Orange, California.
