Description
Eimac super power klystrons are tested at the Eitel-McCullough San Bruno, California, plant. Klystrons of this type are used in ballistic missile warning systems and other satellite and missile tracking. An Eimac super power klystron was used in the Venus radar contact supplying the high radio frequency power. At this time, Eitel-McCullough was working on $3,000,000 in production contracts on these tubes.
