Description
In the 1941 yearbook the black granite panther that the college is known for makes his first appearance in the end papers. Also, in this edition of La Reata, there are numerous photos of the majorette corps ("largest college Majorette Corps in the world"). Sophomore students include Eldon Dedini from King City, who went on to become a noted cartoonist, and Hal Davis from Morgan Hill, who broke world records as a sprinter and was called the "world's fastest human."
