Description
Pamphlet providing information about the proposed San Bruno Community Center and encouraging San Brunans to donate to the project. Following WWII, demand for a community center and desire to memorialize the war's veterans led to a large community effort to raise money for and built a recreation center in San Bruno Park. The first half of the building was completed and dedicated in 1956. It was rededicated as the Veterans Memorial Recreation Center in 2006, to celebrate the building's 50th anniversary.
