Description
Image shows a z-series of a mouse ES cell carrying a multi-copy alpha-globin BAC transgene array. Relative distribution of the BAC sequences, identified by DNA FISH (green) using the entire BAC as probe, versus the heterochromatic mark H3K9me3 (red), identified by immuno-staining. DAPI staining of DNA is blue. An internal, heterochromatic core is surrounded by a more peripheral BAC signal.
