Description
Fan Xiaochun (Sharon Fan) is a Chinese documentary film director. She graduated from Fudan University and became a journalist and helped produce documentary films for Shanghai TV. I met her in Shanghai, and we worked on a documentary film project together when she came to NYC to study film. I took these photographs of her when she first arrived while I was introducing her to life in the Lower East Side in Manhattan. She has returned to China and continues as a documentary film director.
