Description
Head shot of Midge Williams, an African American jazz vocalist, who flourished in the 1930s and 1940s. In the photo, Midge is resting her head on top of her hands and leaning on the back of a chair. Photograph most likely taken in 1938 when she joined Louis Armstrong's Troop as a vocalist.
