Description
Date on back of poster, 1994, reflects when the vendor received the copy later acquired by the UCLA Library. Black and white close-up photograph of the back pocket of a man dressed in jeans. A Teddy bear sticks out of his pocket. Poster suggests that even the Bears, a group of men in the gay culture, use protection, as represented by the Teddy bear, a symbol of security. The message is extended to the security offered by a "Hot Rubber" condom, as suggested by the title. Poster held by Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library. History & Special Collections, Collection no. 306, item SZ044.
