Additional poster text: The pandemic and the response; The Pandemic: by the year 2000, 38 to 110 million adults may be HIV infected--an effective response can make the difference; The challenge: the gap between the pandemic and the current response is growing rapidly. The world needs a new approach--A new health strategy for AIDS; Cumulative HIV infections as of January 1, 1993. Poster shows a map of the world and the numbers of people infected with HIV in the major regions of the world. It shows the total number of people infected, and then breaks down the information into categories of men, women, and children infected with HIV. There is also a bar graph of the statistics in reference to industrialized countries and developing countries. There is also a timeline visually displaying the growing numbers of AIDS infected people through the years.
