Description
Date on back of poster, 1993, reflects when the vendor received the copy later acquired by the UCLA Library. This poster announces an exhibit and a conference, held in 4 different towns in the province of Mantua, Italy, over the course of 4 weeks in October 1993. The exhibits were held in 4 separate towns, one week at a time from Oct. 4 through Oct. 31. The conference took place over 4 Saturdays, from Oct. 9 through Oct. 30. Conference speakers were priests and doctors, and are named on the poster. In the center of the poster is a line drawing representing a brick wall labelled AIDS being uplifted and broken in two by two intertwined raised arms and hands. The arms are rooted like trees, and the roots are shown within a space shaped like a heart. Poster held by Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library.
