Description
Text on right hand side of poster: AIDES 0409 -- Création: Stéphanie Blot -- Imprimé avec le soutien financier de la Direction Générale de la Santé.
Poster held by Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library. History & Special Collections, Collection no. 306, item FR136.
Date on back of poster, 2005, reflects when the vendor received the copy later acquired by the UCLA Library.
Poster contains a silk-screened image suggesting a woman whose arms are raised and folded behind her head. The ends of a scarf knotted around her neck cover her breasts. The poster title forms her skirt. The poster background is a net or mesh, perhaps suggesting that the woman is trapped by her concerns.
Poster may have formed part of a 2002 campaign "Femmes et VIH/sida" [Women and HIV/AIDS]
Logo of the AIDES organization is at bottom right of poster, with the telephone number and internet address (www.aides.org) below it.
