The statue of General Harrison Gray Otis, located at the northwest end of Westlake (now MacArthur) Park, was designed by sculptor Paul Troubetzkoy in 1920 and dedicated in 1930. In 1934, a berm was built across MacArthur Park in order to connect Wilshire to Orange Street, which was then renamed Wilshire Boulevard. Text from negative sleeve: L.
