The 1933 Griffith Park Fire was a brush fire that occurred on 3 October 1933 in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, resulting in the deaths of at least 29 civilians who were trying to fight the fire. It was one of the deadliest firefighter disasters in United States history. A woman in an apron and, perhaps, a Salvation Army bonnet, pours a beverage for a man holding a cup at a refreshment table in the hills of Griffith Park. Other men stand around the table, including two on the right in (fire fighter?) caps. Text from negative sleeve: Los Angeles, Parks, Griffith Park, Fires
