Harvard alum John A. Haeseler was the owner of chimpanzees Shorty, about 3 1/2 years of age, and Ditto, 1 1/2. Similar images are shown in "Monkey Business"...Starring Two Chimpanzees," Los Angeles Times, California, 02 Feb. 1936: G5. The photographs are accompanied by the credit: "Times" Miracle Eye photos by J. H. McCrory.
