Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Frances Cline and Frances West were about 8 and 6 years old in 1912. They look older than that in this photograph. Photograph, from left to right, of Frances Cline and Frances West playing in Big Tujunga Creek. Frances Cline hikes up her plaid skirt and wades in shallow water as she moves towards the left. On the left side of the photograph behind her is a large boulder. Frances West also wades in water while holding a square metal container and looks off camera to the right. She is dressed in a dark-colored skirt, a white blouse and wears a white bow in her hair. A mountainside rises from right to left in the background. Text from negative sleeve: 200.
