A man (maybe Jim Scullin) stands hunched over at left with a golf club in his hands and a cigar in his mouth. He gets ready to hit a golf that sits on a tee in front of him. The teeing ground is a raised platform. The fairway extends into the distance at right. Behind the golfer, a road lined with power lines and trees extends from the left to the center of the image.
Text from negative sleeve: 403. Del Monte, Calif. About 1920. Jim Scullin in shirt sleeves right in center standing beside unknown man. Fellow at extreme right looks like Jesse F. Brown, Sales Manager Western Rubber & Supply Co. 2 more vertical photos of players on the golf links, one of which looks like Jim Scullin. 3 negatives
