Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of a rooftop view looking north along the Niagara River (far right) on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. A snow covered road runs parallel to the river and is lined on its left by utility lines. In the distance left-of-center the Illumination building stands. A brick chimney rises in the foreground at left. Text from negative sleeve: 453. East. Niagara Falls. 1914. January. Crossed to the Canadian side and took the 4 pictures enclosed. One of them xxx [crossed out] shows the Canadian soldiers marching in the snow. They did not stop my use of the camera anywhere. Lots different in this war now (1942). 4 negatives
