A blurred photograph of a donkey running in the barnyard at Captain C. E. (Cameron Erskine) Thom's ranch while two ranch workers try to capture it. The animal is in partial view on the right with its backside towards the camera. A man at center pulls on the donkey's tail. Another man stands to the right of the donkey with his back to camera and with his arm around the neck of the donkey. A single story structure at right extends towards the barn standing in the background at center. A few horses stand and graze in the pen at center and left.
