Photograph of a man with a beard and mustache standing along the side of a street. He stands at right and looks to the right. His back is to the street that runs behind him. The dirt road stretches on a slight upward angle from left to right. A telephone pole stands on the opposite side of the street at left. Behind the man and on the opposite side of the street, a Victorian style mansion stands. Power lines stretch overhead and run parallel to the road.
Text from negative sleeve: 719. Pasadena, Calif. December [1897 crossed out] [handwritten:] 1899 [end handwritten]. H.H.West, with unknown now man. May be Cutler, who had raised a beard. The Green Hotel in Pasadena. 6 views in Pasadena, on Orange Grove Ave. and Colorado Street. 7 negatives
