The trio sits in the foreground, left-of-center. Wilfrid Cline, Jr. stands leftmost. He looks to camera as he crosses his arms in front of him. Elizabeth West sits atop a rock at the center of the group. She rests her hands to her lap as she looks to the camera. Frank Beckett sits a little lower on the same rock and to the right of Elizabeth. He holds a camera on his lap and gazes off towards the left. Behind them, is a body of water. In the distance, pines stand on the opposite bank of the body of water. El Capitan rises in the far distance. Its peak stands at center and the rest of the mountain extends to the left and out-of-frame. Text from negative sleeve: 1067. Yosemite, Calif. About 1922.
