Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. North Beach Bath House with the beach, ocean, and mountains surrounding it. There is a pier at the left with people at its base. American flags fly at the right, as well as at the top of the bath house. People sit on the beach and walk on the boardwalk. The camera obscura is visible at the center of the photograph. A steam engine on the beach but what it is doing I do not recall. Note the sign "Eckert & Hoff [sic] Restaurant" on 13. A great resort in those days. Many a fish dinner I ate in there. Also we used to buy our clams for bait there when we went to Port Los Angeles to fish. Also ran a big bar. 13 films.
