Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of the front exterior of H. H. West, Jr.'s quarters at Fort Mears, viewed at an angle. The Quonset hut stands off-center to the left and is viewed from the front. It enters from the left frame and extends back on an angle to the right. The door to the barracks stands open at center. A bed or cot is barely visible inside the structure; the rest is covered in shadow. A window sits on either side of the door. On the window frame at right, a number plate reads, "24." Large piles of snow abut the front of the Quonset hut on both the left and right sides of the door. In the far distance at right, a snow-covered mountain is visible. Text from negative sleeve: 2019.
