Photograph of the front exterior of H. H. West, Jr.'s quarters at Fort Mears, viewed straight on and looking into the interior. The Quonset hut is viewed at a tilted angle from the front. The door to the barracks stands open at center. Beds lining the left and right sides are barely visible inside the structure; the interior is covered in shadow. A window sits on either side of the door. On the window frame at right, a number plate reads, "24." Large piles of snow abut the front of the Quonset hut on both the left and right sides of the door.
