Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of the Rapids Hunting Lodge roadhouse along Richardson Highway, as viewed from the base of a small slope. A sloped driveway extends upward at center and left. Tall grasses line the right side of the driveway in the foreground. At the top of the slope stands the Rapids Hunting Lodge. The roadhouse is viewed at a slight angle from the front. It is constructed of logs. The building is a single-story structure, except for a section that stands right-of-center; it stands 2 stories tall. A "Coca-Cola" sign hangs over the front door. Over the second floor window, a sign reading, "RAPIDS HUNTING LODGE," and a pair of antlers hang. The roadhouse extends to the left and disappears behind a few vehicles (a bus, car and truck) parked in the driveway. Snow-covered mountains rise in the background. Text from negative sleeve: 2187.
