Photograph of 3 Native American girls posing while standing on a covered promenade deck of a ship en route from Seattle to Alaska. The 3 girls stand in a row at center. The shortest girl stands at left and the tallest stands at right. All wear pea coats. The leftmost 2 girls both look to the camera and rest their hands in their coat pockets. The girl at right looks to the left. The deck extends behind them and slightly to the left. A windowed cabin stands in partial view along the left edge, behind the girls. Guardrails line the right side of the deck. Far down the deck, fellow passengers walk the deck and look over the rails. The ocean extends out to the right and into the distance.
