Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of a Burlington Trailways bus, as viewed from the front in Emerson, Iowa. A street corner juts into frame along the lower edge at left. A brick-paved street stretches back towards the left from the lower right corner. At the street corner, a bus is parked. It is viewed at an angle from the front and stretches back, parallel with the street. From the top down, signs and plates on the front of the bus read, "Aerocoach," "CHICAGO," "Burlington TRAILWAYS," "1946 4 C 98 IOWA COMP TAX 16," and "IA COMMERCIAL 46 00-1513." Towards the side of the bus, the vehicle is numbered, "571." The passenger door stands open on the left side of the bus. Three cars parked behind the bus line the near side of the street.
