Photograph of a Death Valley Railroad narrow-gauge train stopped at its terminus in Ryan, near Death Valley National Monument. The front of the narrow-gauge train sits in the foreground, right-of-center. It stretches back into the image towards center. A couple of young boys sit in the near distance, in the front row of the train, and look to the camera. Behind them, a dozen or so open benches line the train. Towards the rear of the train, a woman sits along the its left side and rests her feet to the ground. At left, a car is parked beside the train and faces towards the camera. Its license plate reads, "70 V 908." A rocky hillside rises beside the right side of the train. Mountains are visible in the background.
