NRHP reference # 66000778 A poorly-lit and out-of-focus photograph of Mertie West reading the tablet on the front of the Old South Meeting House in the Downtown Crossing neighborhood of Boston. In the foreground, Milk and Washington Streets intersect. Milk Street stretches along the bottom edge and Washington Street stretches back to the left. The Old South Meeting House stands on the far corner, right-of-center. It is viewed at an angle from the front. The church rises beyond the top frame and extends beyond the right edge. Mertie West stands in the near distance at center, in front of the church. She reads a tablet next to the church's front door. The door is inset into the church's bell tower, which rises beyond the top edge. Arched windows vertically line the tower's front side and oculi line the tower's right side.
