A poorly-exposed and out-of-focus photograph of Mertie West standing beside the statue of John Harvard in Harvard Yard. Mertie West stands in the near distance, left-of-center. She faces forward, but looks to the right--where the statue stands. The bronze statue of a seated John Harvard is viewed at an angle from the front and the side, facing left. The plinth it sits upon stands slightly taller than Mertie. A bronze seal is inset to the right side of the plinth. University Hall (partial view) is viewed close-up as it stretches across the background on an angle. Four punched holes line the lower left edge. Text from negative sleeve: 2337.
