Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white. An out-of-focus photograph of buildings and houses lining St. Louis Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. St. Louis Street spans the width of the image. It enters frame from the bottom edge and stretches back on an angle to the left. Houses and buildings line the right side of the street. One house stands in partial view along the right edge. To the left of it a house with 2 dormers stands. Behind it, a 3-story brick building stands. Wrought-iron railings line the building's 2nd- and 3rd-story front balconies. Signage painted on the side of the building reads, "Acme CARPET CLEANING [???] WORK[...]." Wrought-iron railings lining the upper balconies of a building behind it are visible. Buildings continue to line the right side of the street as it stretches into the distance. Four punched holes line the upper right edge.
