NRHP reference # 71000358 (Garden District) Photograph of the facade of a residence on First Street in the Garden District of New Orleans, as viewed close-up. The Greek Revival-styled mansion is seen from a slight, low-angle view. A tree on the front lawn grows, left-of-center, and extends beyond the top frame. The facade of the residence stands behind it and appears to tilt downward to the left. It stands in partial view, extending beyond the right frame and below the bottom frame. The house stands 2-stories tall with a double-gallery and 5 bays. On the ground floor, Ionic order columns stand across the front porch. The front door occupies the central bay and is flanked by 2 windows with shutters on each side. A number plate above the door reads, "1134." A parapet of decorative ironwork wraps around the perimeter of the second-story gallery. It too is lined by columns. Its central bay is occupied by an inset window which is flanked by 2 windows on each side. Opaque, white patches obscure part of the image in the lower left and lower right corners.
