Photograph of the main, east entrance to the Arlington Memorial Amphitheater and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, as viewed at a distance in Arlington National Cemetery. A cemetery drive stretches through the foreground along the bottom edge. In the near distance, short set of steps runs parallel to the driveway. Four stone posts connected by chains sit atop the steps. Beyond the posts, the grassy expanse of the formal garden stretches back through center. It is flanked by walkways. Trees line the far left and far right edges of the open garden. At the far end of the lawn, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier stands atop a wide set of steps. It is barely visible sitting at center in front of the main entrance to the Arlington Memorial Amphitheater. The eastern facade of the building is viewed square to camera. Six columns line the porch and support a pediment. Four punched holes line the top edge at left.
