Photograph of H. H. West posing in front of the Boston Massacre/Crispus Attucks Memorial in Boston Common. A grassy expanse stretches across the foreground. H. H. West stands in the near distance, just left-of-center, and looks to the camera. Behind him, a walkway stretches through the image on an upward angle to the right. In the middle of the walkway, at center, the Boston Massacre/Crispus Attucks Memorial stands. Metal railings at the base of the memorial encircle the columnar monument. On the front side of the monument, at right, a sculpted figure stands, camouflaged by shadows and leaves. The grassy park area extends into the distance at center, beyond the monument. Trees line the park along both the left and right edges.
