Distant view of Mertie West walking along a driveway in Arlington National Cemetery. A cemetery lawn enters frame from the bottom edge at left and stretches straight back. Beside it, a wide driveway runs parallel to it at right, also entering frame from the bottom edge. Down the road and at center, Mertie West walks, approaching the camera. Behind her, the driveway widens into a roundabout. Shrubbery sits in the middle of the roundabout. Trees and shrubbery dot the cemetery's grounds throughout the image.
