Newsreel from KNTV San Jose broadcast on October 21, 1965; may be combination of the early and late news, includes national, local, sports and weather. Part 1: Clarence Manion, former Dean of Notre Dame Law School and John Birch Society advisory council member, calls for a return to religious morality as a solution to the nation's problems; San Jose Spartans football coach Harry Anderson talks about the team's season so far. Part 2: Gilroy Republican Assemblyman George Milias comments on the U.S. Supreme Court's "One Man One Vote" decision and resulting Santa Clara County reapportionment; Milias also comments on the war in Vietnam after returning from a tour of Asia; Senator Edward Kennedy gives his opinion on the Vietnam war during a brief stop in San Francisco en route to Saigon; San Francisco Junior Chamber of Commerce "Jaycees" announce letter-writing campaign to raise morale of U.S. troops. Part 3: Silent footage of people boarding a SFO Helicopter at San Jose Airport as the company launched new service between San Jose Airport and San Francisco Airport; the President of SFO Helicopter Mike Fagan talks to reporter.
