Description
Exterior view of Casa Ybarra, an adobe house on Puente Road originally belonging to a member of the Ybarra family on the Rancho Rincon de la Brea. Located five miles from Puente, it was built in 1841. In May 1936, at the time of the photo, it was occuped by Louis Reyes and family and owned by Mrs. Walter Hardwick of Los Angeles (possibly those seen on porch).; Ybarra Adobe, also known as Casa Ybarra, was built in 1841 and was located on Puente Road on the Rancho Rinco´n de la Brea. Originally belonging Don Luis Ybarra, it was later owned by members of his family. Many years later, it was sold to Mrs. Walter Hardwick of Los Angeles. In May 1936, the adobe was occupied by Luis Reyes and his family.
