Alexander, Receiving first diploma Group of other Graduates. Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Emery. Date: 1951-10-29. Reporter: Phister to Desick. Assignment: Civil Defense diploma presentations to 1st class at Long Beach Civil Defense Headquarters, 5373 E 2nd Street, Long Beach 9 pm 10/29. Lieutenant William J. Mooney of Long Beach Police Department, head of city's civil defense organization, presents 1st diploma to Alan L. Alexander, 2898 Delta Avenue, Long Beach. Mooney (extreme right) with Sergeant L.R.
