Photograph. "Woman holds 'corner' on real estate -- At the southeast [sic] corner of Pico and Maple streets will be found a group of modern buildings, owned by Mrs. Florence C. Casler. -- In an unassuming way she has built four structures (left to right): Press Building, Printing Center, Allied Crafts, Graphic Arts." -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated 9 December 1928. Please note that the building is actually located on the northeast corner of Pico and Maple. Additional information: In July 6, 1931, the Los Angeles Times published an article by Alma Whitaker dedicated to Florence Casler -- "Woman Makes Buildings Pay. Contractor with feminine charms".
