Photograph article dated January 22, 1964 partially reads, "Preliminary hearing for Mrs. Helena Ross, 36-year-old North Hollywood mother charged with the murder of her infant son, will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Van Nuys Municipal Court. Mrs. Ross appeared Tuesday for arraignment before Judge Francis A. Cochran, Division 68, Municipal Court. She will be defended by deputy public defender Irwin Pransky. Mrs. Ross is accused of fatally stabbing her son, Scott, 15 months old, last Saturday in North Hollywood Park. Her two daughters, Mary, 16, and Karen, 13, both witnessed the attack, police have reported, and fled when she assertedly declared: 'You're next.'"
